MasterTurf Products is a premier provider of athletic and recreational complex sports fields and golf course bunker refurbishment and design. We have been serving school districts, universities and municipalities throughout Texas since 1992.
New Ball Field Installation
Our installation process has been perfected over a number of years, and our ongoing client relationships speak to the success of our installations.
The process begins with a subgrade surface to receive 4 to 8 inches of infield material. We will set in the forms to distinguish the line between grass and dirt, to mark the radius around the pitcher’s mound, and outline the dirt from the mound to home plate. Once the subgrade and forms are set, we will add the optimum amount of MasterTurf Infield Mix. No additional conditioner is needed. After laser grading, the field is watered to compact it.
Ball Field Renovation
MasterTurf receives numerous inquiries from ball field managers and coaches dissatisfied with their clay fields, who have heard about our high-quality products.
Our ball field renovation process has been perfected over a number of years. The process takes about a week, and achieves 3-4 inches of conditioned infield surface, instead of just the top portion.
Golf Course Sand Trap Renovation
Although we can install sand traps as well as renovate them, most requests are from golf course superintendents whose sand traps collect and hold water. Our sand trap renovation provides a drainage system so that water flows out of the sand trap, and the golf course is playable much sooner than an untreated golf course. Our process begins by removing the sand from the trap. We then dig a canal along the lowest portion, and install a drainage system. We then either replace the sand, or add new sand.
